Gasbuddy reports that South Carolina’s gas prices have decreased by 11.7 cents within the past week.

Gas prices in South Carolina have seen a significant decrease, with an 11.7 cent drop in the last week alone. The average price of gas in the state is now at $2.73 per gallon, which is 13.5 cents lower than a month ago and 30.8 cents lower than a year ago. The cheapest gas station in South Carolina was selling gas for $2.42 per gallon, while the most expensive station had gas priced at $3.34 per gallon.

Nationally, gas prices have also fallen, with the average price dropping by 5.3 cents per gallon. This has brought the national average down to 12.9 cents lower than last month and 39.8 cents lower than last year. The decrease in gas prices is attributed to lower oil prices and seasonal decreases in demand.

Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, stated that the decline in gas prices is due to seasonal factors and not influenced by the upcoming election. He predicts that gas prices will continue to decrease as winter approaches and demand continues to decline.

Overall, the average price of gasoline has reached its lowest level since January, and the average price of diesel is at its lowest level in over three years. Consumers can expect to see gas prices continue to fall in the coming weeks as demand decreases and seasonal factors drive prices lower.
