South Carolina has continued to aggressively recruit prospects committed to other schools in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The Gamecocks recently offered three-star safety Steve Miller, who had committed to Southern Cal just two weeks prior after initially committing to Mississippi State. Miller, ranked as the No. 42 safety in his class, plays at Greene County High School alongside four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn, a top target for South Carolina.
In addition to Miller, South Carolina has extended offers to several other committed prospects, including offensive linemen from Georgia Tech, a running back from Virginia Tech, and defensive players from Auburn, Mississippi State, Liberty, and Rutgers. The team’s 2025 recruiting class already includes three defensive backs, adding depth to the secondary.
Miller, who has excelled on both sides of the ball during his senior season, was named the Georgia 1A-D2 Region VIII Player of the Year as a junior. With 16 total tackles, four interceptions, and 26 receptions for 332 yards and four touchdowns so far this season, he has proven to be a versatile and impactful player on the field.
