Introducing Read Freely Fest, South Carolina’s newest literary celebration

Richland Library’s Main location in downtown Columbia will be the exciting venue for the inaugural Read Freely Fest from Friday to Sunday, March 28-30. This free event is a celebration of storytelling, featuring a diverse lineup of bestselling and emerging authors. Attendees can look forward to author talks, book signings, panels, and live cultural performances.

Among the authors set to participate are a top musical mystery writer, a New York Times bestseller, and a pick from Reeseā€™s Book Club. All Good Books will be the official festival bookseller, offering attendees the chance to purchase titles and get them signed by the authors.

There are also opportunities for individuals to get involved in the event. Exhibitors, including publishers, booksellers, artisans specializing in book-themed crafts, and nonprofits focusing on readers, can apply to showcase their work. Volunteers are needed to help the event run smoothly. Independent authors can showcase their work at Indie Author Alley, which will feature local and independent authors and illustrators. Additionally, sponsors can learn about partnership opportunities for future festivals.

With a mix of engaging activities and a lineup of talented authors, the Read Freely Fest promises to be a memorable event for book lovers in the Columbia area. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to celebrate the power of storytelling and connect with authors and fellow enthusiasts in a vibrant and creative atmosphere.
