The No. 14 ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team is set to host East Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The game will take place on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN+. South Carolina is coming off a close loss to Texas in the SEC Tournament championship game, where they outshot their opponents but couldn’t find the back of the net. East Carolina, on the other hand, secured a spot in the tournament by defeating No. 19 Memphis in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
Graduate student Sydney Schnell leads East Carolina in goals this season, while graduate student Maeve English has been solid in goal with 54 saves. This will be the ninth meeting between South Carolina and East Carolina, with the Gamecocks winning all eight previous encounters.
