Indiana’s Myles Rice led his team to victory over South Carolina with 23 points, including 17 in the first half. The Hoosiers never faced a serious threat in the second half, securing their third win of the season. Mackenzie Mgbako added 17 points for Indiana, while Morris Ugusuk led the Gamecocks with 18 points.
The Gamecocks struggled to shoot below 40% for the first time this season and only made one 3-pointer in the second half. IU shot 51% for the game and had a strong performance at the free-throw line.
Ugusuk had a career-high 18 points off the bench for South Carolina, while Nick Pringle recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Gamecocks will face Mercer in their next game, while the Hoosiers will take on UNC Greensboro. Overall, Indiana’s performance was dominant, and they will look to continue their winning streak.
