Teen Found Dead in Pickens County Motel Room Identified
Easley, SC — Authorities have released new details regarding the tragic death of a teenager discovered in a motel room in Pickens County, South Carolina. According to Chief Deputy Chad Brooks of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call shortly after midnight on Saturday at the Sun Inn located at 4237 Calhoun Memorial Highway, Easley.
The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Robert Preston Crawford. Deputies found Crawford unresponsive on the floor of the motel room, where he had suffered a gunshot wound. The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation, but officials believe this to be an isolated incident and have reassured the public that there is no immediate danger.
The Pickens County Coroner’s Office confirmed the details of Crawford’s death and is working alongside local law enforcement to uncover the events leading to this tragic incident.
