She expressed fear over someone trying to steal her money and identity and then went silent, leading to concerns for her safety.
Family members reported her missing to the Los Angeles Police Department and the FBI. Concerning security footage shows her in downtown L.A. with an unidentified person, sparking further concern for her well-being.
Kobayashi, an aspiring photographer and art fan, was excited about her trip to New York City and had saved up for it. The family is working with authorities to locate her, focusing their search efforts on the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Hill Street. They have emphasized that Kobayashi does not have a history of mental illness and are urging the public to come forward with any information that could help in finding her.
