Despite the defeat, player Amiya Joyner stood out with 25 points and 10 rebounds, marking her sixth career 20-point game and second double-double of the season. The Gamecocks dominated the game with every player scoring, led by Chloe Kitts’ 14 points. South Carolina’s strong performance led them to a 42nd consecutive victory, tying a program record and marking their presence in NCAA history. Notably, the game drew a record-breaking crowd of 18,000 fans, the largest the Pirates have ever played in front of. The Pirates will look to bounce back in their upcoming home game against Howard on November 20 at 11 a.m.
