South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer and his coaching staff are gearing up for National Signing Day, with the Early Signing Period beginning on December 4th. Jaquavious Dodd, a 4-star EDGE player from Eastside High School, is a top prospect in the Gamecocks’ 2025 recruiting class. Standing at 6’5.5” and 235 pounds, Dodd has impressive athletic potential with a quick first step and good chasing abilities. Despite being relatively new to football, he has shown great promise on the field, earning a top-100 ranking in On3’s individual player rankings. Dodd is set to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas this winter, showcasing his skills further. With a focus on rushing the passer and a high-energy attitude, Dodd is expected to make an impact on the Gamecocks’ defense. However, he will need to refine his technique and add weight to compete at the collegiate level. Dodd is one of 11 South Carolina natives in the recruiting class, and his commitment is a significant one for the program.
