Second Best Cities in America for Christmas Celebrations

Greenville Named Second Best Christmas City in the USA

Greenville, South Carolina, has earned the prestigious title of the second-best Christmas city in the United States, according to Time Out New York. The publication praised the charming mountain town, particularly during the festive season when its picturesque Main Street is adorned with twinkling lights.

Highlights of Greenville’s holiday attractions include the whimsical Santa’s motorized sleigh, a converted 1993 Ford Aerostar, which adds a unique touch to the downtown festivities. The city also features an outdoor ice skating rink and the third annual Greenville Gingerbread Exhibit, where visitors can vote on creatively crafted gingerbread houses.

Attendees are encouraged to explore the city’s lively Holiday Fair and Kringle Holiday Village, as well as the Greenville Christmas Market at the Grand Bohemian Lodge, where last-minute shopping is a must. For those looking for a festive drink, pop-up bars at Southernside Brewing Co. and Up on the Roof are perfect spots to gather. Additionally, diners can enjoy an amusing experience by sipping drinks in private igloos at Juniper.

A special highlight of the season is the Poinsettia Christmas Parade, scheduled for December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Those unable to attend in person can catch the parade on WYFF News 4 or through the WYFF News 4 app.

The top honor went to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, while Greenville continues to shine as a festive destination that captures the holiday spirit so uniquely. For a complete list of holiday events and additional information, please refer to local resources.
