We Are Sharing Hope SC Announces 20th Annual Race for Life on Folly Beach
FOLLY BEACH, S.C. (WCIV) — We Are Sharing Hope SC, the state’s leading organ and tissue recovery program, is gearing up for its 20th Annual Race for Life on March 29, 2025, at Folly Beach. This significant event aims to raise funds for programs focused on educating the public about organ, eye, and tissue donation throughout South Carolina.
The Race for Life serves as a heartfelt gathering where transplant recipients run alongside the family members of local donor heroes who have made the ultimate gift of life. "The race is an opportunity to take a moment and remember all those who have given the most precious gift—life," said Krystal Cau, Director of Communications at We Are Sharing Hope SC. "We are grateful for our community, hospital partners, and most of all, our donor families for their bravery and generosity. We hope our event continues to inspire our community and raise awareness for donation and the profound impact it can have on many lives."
Participants can register online for the 5K or 10K options. For those unable to attend in person, a "Hero from Home" registration option is available, allowing supporters to contribute to the mission remotely. Early bird pricing is in effect until November 30, 2024.
