WACH FOX is revisiting the cold case of Amir Jennings, who vanished 13 years ago at just 18 months old. The investigation into Amir’s disappearance includes a timeline of events leading up to a special: Unforgotten South Carolina: Where is Amir Jennings? On November 9, 2011, Amir’s mother, Zinah, was arrested on prostitution charges, while his father saw him for the last time on November 29, 2011. Zinah returned to the bank alone on December 4, 2011, claiming Amir was with friends. She was reported missing with Amir’s grandmother on December 8, 2011. Zinah led police to an apartment complex on January 2, 2012 but couldn’t provide details. A search of Zinah’s home and car on January 4, 2012 revealed disturbing evidence. Zinah was convicted of unlawful conduct toward a child on September 7, 2012, released from prison on September 30, 2016, and Amir had been missing for five years at that point. WACH FOX has been investigating the case for the past year, speaking with family members and experts to uncover the truth. Don’t miss the full special on Thanksgiving at 10 p.m.
