Carolina swimming continues its successful season with more impressive performances at the South Carolina Invitational. The men’s team set a school record in the 200-yard medley relay and achieved nine new all-time marks. The women’s team also excelled, qualifying for the NCAA Championships in the 200-yard medley relay and setting a pool record. Notable individual achievements included Louis Dramm’s fifth-best all-time mark in the 400 IM and PJ Foy’s second fastest time in the 100 fly. Carolina dominated the podium in multiple events, with swimmers like Ben Delmar and Xavier Ruiz finishing first and third in the 100 breaststroke. On the women’s side, Mary Macaulay, Aislin Farris, and Ava Muzzy swept the 400 IM, while Skyler Smith improved on her own school record in the 100 breaststroke. The South Carolina Invitational will continue tomorrow, giving fans another opportunity to see the Tar Heels in action.
