South Carolina women’s basketball team bounced back in a big way after a tough loss, dominating Iowa State in a 76-36 victory. After a 15-point loss to UCLA, the Gamecocks came out strong, going on a 32-0 run to start the game. The defense was exceptional, forcing turnovers and sparking the offense in transition. Freshman Joyce Edwards had a standout performance, recording her first career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Sania Feagin also had a strong offensive showing with 13 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Despite a brief dip in offense in the second half, South Carolina responded well and never let the margin dip too low. This win was a much-needed response after a tough day for the program and sets them up well for future games. The Gamecocks will face Purdue next in their final game in Fort Myers before moving on to face more tough competition.
