Audi Crooks and Mackenzie Hare were top performers for South Carolina, scoring 13 and 12 points respectively.
Iowa State struggled against South Carolina’s defense but managed to make a comeback in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 17 points. However, the Gamecocks pulled away again and secured the win. Crooks extended her streak of double-digit scoring to 39 games, showcasing her consistency on the court.
Next up, Iowa State will face Middle Tennessee in their next game. The Cyclones, with a record of 853-668 under head coach Bill Fennelly, have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA record 934 consecutive games.
