A father and his two sons who went missing from Anderson County, South Carolina, were found safe in Texas. The father, James Brewington, was reported missing along with his two sons on Tuesday morning. Authorities located Brewington’s abandoned Ford F350 in Belton and tracked them as they made their way to Texas. With the help of Texas Rangers and the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Brewington was taken into custody in Kemp, Texas, and his sons were found unharmed. Brewington is facing two counts of custodial interference and will be brought back to South Carolina. The family was seen getting into a Ford Edge with a North Carolina license plate, indicating that they may have been attempting to leave the state. The case remains under investigation.
