Alumnus of Bob Jones University among victims of D.C. crash


Casey Crafton, a graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, was among the 67 people who tragically died in a midair crash near Reagan National Airport. Crafton, who studied aviation management at Bob Jones and graduated in 2008, was a passenger on American Airlines flight 5342 when it collided with a US Army helicopter while landing in Washington. He is survived by his wife, Rachel, and their three children.

The university expressed their condolences to the Crafton-Gadbois families, with President Josh Crocket describing Crafton as friendly and loved by many.
