Chester County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina made a significant drug bust on Monday, arresting two individuals for trafficking large quantities of illegal drugs, including the largest fentanyl seizure in county history. Travaris Dixon and Lamonica Dixon were found with 1,700 grams of fentanyl, 87 grams of crack cocaine, and two pounds of marijuana, along with firearms, cash, and vehicles. The fentanyl alone had a street value of over $250,000 and the potential to kill over 800,000 people. The Dixons were charged with multiple drug trafficking offenses and possession of weapons during a violent crime. Sheriff Max Dorsey emphasized the importance of eradicating drug traffickers in Chester County to protect citizens from the deadly consequences of addiction. The case will be handled by the office of S.C. 6th circuit solicitor Randy E. Newman Jr. As the investigation continues, updates will be provided. Erin Parrott, a senior at the University of South Carolina majoring in broadcast journalism, covered the story, highlighting the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the community.
