South Carolina Softball continues their dominant start to the season with a 11-0 run-rule victory against App State at the Carolina Classic. The Gamecocks are now 10-0 for the season, with their sixth shutout and sixth run-rule win. Pitcher Nealy Lamb delivered a strong performance, striking out six batters in four innings. The offense came alive in the third and fourth innings, with Brooke Blankenship and Lexi Winters leading the charge with key hits. South Carolina scored seven runs in the fourth inning alone, including RBI doubles from Arianna Rodi and Natalie Heath. In their first at-bat as a Gamecock, freshman Mya Flindt connected on a two-run single. Heath led the team at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs. With this victory, South Carolina has outscored their opponents 81-13 in the first two weeks of the season. The team looks forward to their next game against North Carolina on February 19th.
