Accident on I-85 South results in two-hour shutdown


A crash on Interstate 85 South in Cherokee County, South Carolina, resulted in all lanes being blocked after 9:30 p.m. on a Friday night. The crash occurred at Exit 100 (Blacksburg Highway), prompting the response of a medical helicopter to the scene. As of 10 p.m., details on the cause of the crash and potential injuries were unknown, and the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office had not been called to the scene.
