A cargo container and makeshift office belonging to Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky slid into the Kentucky River following heavy rains and flooding caused by a mudslide. The incident occurred on the northeast side of the distillery, with no employees present at the time. The affected area has been secured to ensure safety, and cleanup efforts are underway. Despite the mudslide, production and tours at the distillery have not been disrupted. Buffalo Trace Distillery, established in 1771, has a long history of overcoming various challenges, including floods, fires, tornadoes, and Prohibition. Governor Andy Beshear has reported at least 22 deaths related to recent winter weather incidents in Kentucky.
