One of Myrtle Beach’s most beloved events, South Carolina’s Largest Garage Sale, will not be returning in 2025 due to scheduling conflicts at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The event, which began in 1988 as a small local sale and grew into a major attraction drawing in treasure hunters from all over, is unable to take place this year as the convention center is fully booked. The city stated that the sale is dependent on open weekend availability, but with no dates open, the event cannot be held. WMBF News has reached out to the city for more information on the future of the garage sale and if a venue change is possible. As of now, the event will not be taking place in 2025. Despite the disappointment, residents and visitors alike will have to wait until next year to attend the popular event.
