South Carolina State’s Omar Croskey scored 30 points to help the Bulldogs secure an 88-67 victory over North Carolina Central in the MEAC Tournament semifinals. The win extended South Carolina State’s winning streak to nine games, propelling them to the conference championship game against top-seeded Norfolk State.
In addition to Croskey’s standout performance, Davion Everett added 16 points and Colin McKenzie contributed 14 points, including four 3-pointers. North Carolina Central’s Perry Smith Jr. led his team with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Po’Boigh King and Keishon Porter also had solid performances.
South Carolina State took control early in the game and held onto the lead throughout, with Croskey leading the charge with 19 first-half points.
