South Carolina women’s basketball team had four players earn All-America honorable mention honors, as announced by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and the Associated Press (AP). Junior Chloe Kitts and freshman Joyce Edwards made the list for both organizations, while senior Te-Hina Paopao and sophomore MiLaysia Fulwiley were recognized by the AP. This marks the second time in three seasons that four Gamecocks have earned All-America status, showcasing the team’s depth and talent.
Kitts has been a standout performer for the Gamecocks, leading the team in rebounding and recording impressive double-doubles. Edwards, a freshman, has been a scoring leader for the team and earned First-Team All-SEC recognition. Paopao has displayed strong leadership and court vision, while Fulwiley has impressed as the SEC Sixth Woman of the Year.
The Gamecocks received the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament’s Birmingham 2 Regional and will host first- and second-round games at Colonial Life Arena.
