MATBUS riders in Fargo, N.D. now have a new tool to help them track down the next bus with the introduction of a live bus tracker. The technology, which updates every second, allows riders to choose between looking at a map or arrival times to see where the bus is and when it should be arriving at the next stop. The display shows all the routes, the capacity of the bus, and more. MATBUS hopes that this new technology will make it easier for riders to navigate during their commutes, allowing them to better manage their time and make more informed decisions about when to leave for the bus stop. According to Taaren Haak, Marketing Manager for MATBUS, the live bus tracker can be particularly helpful in extreme weather conditions, allowing riders to wait indoors until the bus is close by. Later this summer, MATBUS will also be launching a number to dial or text at various bus locations around town to provide live updates on buses. This new addition to the MATBUS service is sure to be a welcome convenience for riders looking to make their daily commutes more efficient and stress-free.
