South Carolina is experiencing pollen season

The pollen count in South Carolina is currently high to very high, with tree pollen, particularly from pine trees, being the main culprit. While weed and grass pollen are low at the moment, they are expected to peak later in the summer and early fall. Greenville has been ranked as one of the top 10 worst cities for seasonal allergy disorders in the country by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Gusty winds are exacerbating the issue by spreading pollen from across the Southeast through the state. Rain is needed to alleviate the pollen levels, with a 40% chance of soaking rain expected this coming Sunday and Monday. Residents are advised to stay informed and prepared for high pollen levels.
