JinkoSolar’s TOPCon technology fuels off-grid hydrogen project in Australia.

JinkoSolar, a leading solar panel manufacturer, has partnered with Climate Impact Corporation (CIC) to supply high-efficiency modules for the “Green Springs” off-grid hydrogen production project in Australia. The project, located in the Northern Territory, aims to build 10GW of green hydrogen production facilities, making it one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

The off-grid modular green hydrogen production technology developed by CIC will be powered by JinkoSolar’s N-type TOPCon modules, known for their ultra-high bifacial ratio and high power generation per watt. These modules will help reduce electricity costs for PV systems and ensure stable operation of the hydrogen production equipment in complex environments.

Through the “PV + Hydrogen” model, the partnership between JinkoSolar and CIC is expected to achieve an annual carbon reduction of more than 10 million tons. This collaboration will provide a zero-carbon transition model for global industrial decarbonization and help energy-intensive industries move closer to carbon neutrality.

The Green Springs project represents a significant step towards sustainable energy production and carbon reduction in Australia. By harnessing the power of renewable energy sources like solar panels and hydrogen, the project aims to pave the way for a cleaner, greener future.
