Floyd Central’s baseball team had a busy and competitive spring break at The Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Jaguars compiled a 2-2 record, facing teams from both Kentucky and Ohio during their trip.

In their first game, Floyd Central defeated Bowling Green (Ohio) 7-5 with pitcher Jace Martin leading the way with a complete game and four strikeouts. They then fell to Padua Franciscan (Ohio) 11-1 in six innings, with Landon Prater taking the loss on the mound.

The Jaguars bounced back in their third game, defeating Knox Central 11-3 with Mason Anderson pitching a strong game and recording 10 strikeouts. Logan Meade and Kolten Crum were key contributors offensively in the win.

Unfortunately, Floyd Central suffered another loss in their final game against Boyd County, falling 17-7 in six innings. Despite the loss, players like Kolten Crum and Logan Moore had solid performances at the plate for the Jaguars.

Overall, it was a competitive showing for Floyd Central at The Ripken Experience, with both wins and losses highlighting their potential for success during the season. The team showed resilience and a balanced offensive effort, which will be key as they continue to compete in their district games.
