In response, a spokesperson for BMW’s plant in Spartanburg highlighted the facility’s significant contributions, including an investment of over $14.8 billion, 11,000 skilled workers producing 1,500 vehicles daily, and an economic impact of $26.7 billion for the state, supporting 43,000 jobs.
BMW also highlighted that they export more vehicles from the U.S. than they import, contributing positively to the country’s trade balance. The company is advocating for a transatlantic agreement that fosters growth and promotes cooperation between the U.S. and other countries.
