The University of South Carolina baseball team suffered a tough 17-0 loss to Texas A&M in a seven-inning game at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The Aggies took an early lead, scoring four runs in the first inning, including a two-run single from Kaeden Kent. Texas A&M continued to dominate, with Kent hitting a two-run home run in the third inning. They added two runs in the fourth, seven in the fifth, and one in the sixth, with Bear Harrison hitting a grand slam. Beau Hollins had two of Carolina’s five hits in the game, while Matthew Becker took the loss on the mound.
Despite the loss, Henry Kaczmar extended his streak of reaching base to 18 games, and Hollins now has five extra-base hits in SEC games. The two teams will face off again on Saturday afternoon to wrap up the three-game series. The game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. Carolina will look to bounce back from the challenging loss and come out stronger in the next matchup against Texas A&M.
