The Huskies beach volleyball team had a successful day two at the LSU Battle on the Bayou, with their No. 1 and No. 5 pairs both going 2-0. They started the day with a 3-2 loss to South Carolina, where they earned points from the No. 1 and No. 5 pairs. In the afternoon, they bounced back with a 3-2 win over Southern Miss, with both pairs winning their matches. The deciding point came from the No. 3 pair, securing the win for the Huskies, their first in three meetings with the Golden Eagles.
The Huskies now hold an 11-15 record and are preparing for their final tournament before the Southland Conference Championships. They will be traveling to Fort Worth, Texas for the Fight in the Fort hosted by TCU on Friday, Apr. 18, and Saturday, Apr. 19. With their recent success, the team is looking to carry this momentum into the upcoming tournament and make a strong showing at the Championships.
