Local organization, Upstate International, is teaming up with Bridge City Health to host an event celebrating International Women’s Day on March 7, 2025. The event, titled #AccelerateAction, will feature keynote speaker Kathryn Harvey, who will share her experiences and insights on navigating a successful career from Sesame Street to South Carolina politics.
Kathryn, who currently serves as an entrepreneur in the Upstate Community, will discuss the importance of authenticity in her work as Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy at the Global nonprofit behind Sesame Street. Attendees can expect to gain valuable strategies for achieving success and making a meaningful impact in their own career endeavors.
In addition to networking and inspiration, the event will also focus on wellness and giving back to the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring physical donations for Safe Harbor and Jasmine Kitchen, or to make a paid donation towards the Women’s Leadership Initiative Scholarship Fund. The requested donation items include everyday essentials such as stamps, gift cards for groceries and gas, cleaning supplies, toiletries, and more.
