Rapid City Rush | GAME RECAP: Rush Fall Short in Series Finale against South Carolina


The Rapid City Rush suffered an 8-1 loss to the South Carolina Stingrays at North Charleston Coliseum on Sunday. The game started defensively, with the Rush showing a strong effort in the first period. However, South Carolina’s Jamie Engelbert scored a breakaway goal late in the period. The Stingrays then scored five times in the second period and twice more in the third. Simon Boyko scored the Rush’s only goal early in the second period with assists from Zack Hoffman and Garrett Klotz. Goalkeeper Christian Propp allowed all eight goals while Connor Murphy replaced him in the third period and made six saves. The Rush will return home for a three-game series against the Wichita Thunder, starting on Thursday, December 12. The game on Saturday, December 14 will feature the Teddy Bear Toss and Peanuts Night.
