Many areas across the country are preparing for dangerous weather conditions

The National Weather Service has issued warnings for intense storms with winds up to 90 mph and baseball-sized hail in a large area of the Midwest and South on Friday. The severe storms are expected to affect cities like St. Louis, Springfield, New Orleans, and more, with a high risk of damaging storms. Tornadoes, strong winds, and large hail are all possible during this severe weather outbreak. Saturday will see an increased risk of severe storms in Louisiana, with tornadoes also possible. Additionally, the southern Great Plains, including Texas, is facing critical wildfire danger due to dry conditions, low humidity, and wind gusts. Governor Greg Abbott has directed additional state resources to respond to this wildfire danger. In the West, a winter storm has been bringing heavy snowfall to the Sierra Nevada in California. The storm is expected to continue into Friday. In Los Angeles, a high-end EF-0 tornado caused damage in the city of Pico Rivera, uprooting trees, tearing down branches, and causing roof damage. The extreme weather conditions in various regions highlight the importance of staying informed, making emergency plans, and heeding the guidance of local officials to ensure the safety of individuals and their families.
